Siemon Announces Agreement With C-Tech Associates, Inc.

Watertown, CT - In a proactive move to support the growing need for entry-level telecommunications technicians, Siemon announced the signing of a Program Recognizer agreement with C-Tech Associates, Inc. C-Tech is a New Jersey-based developer and manufacturer of training aids and curriculum for communications networking.

Siemon has reviewed C-Tech's Communications Networking Programs for content and applicability to the marketplace and recognizes C-Tech's certifications known as Network Cabling Specialist and Voice Communications Professional. "Teaming with C-Tech is consistent with Siemon's support of continuing education," stated Bob Carlson, VP of Global Marketing. As a Program Recognizer, Siemon will provide ongoing support and will be promoting the hiring of C-Tech Certified Technicians to its national and global network of Certified Installers.

C-Tech took an innovative approach in the development of its training programs. "Early on we recognized a need for trained technicians at an entry-level wage," stated David Brady, Director of Marketing. "It is very important to deliver the technology at a level that addresses the majority of the population and still provides the much-needed skills." Companies have been able to cut as much as 3 months off a new employee's preparation cycle by hiring C-Tech certified technicians.

Since entering the educational/training market in 1995, C-Tech has established a network of over 300 Certified Training Facilities throughout the country, including Vocational and Comprehensive High Schools, Community Colleges, Labor Unions, community and faith-based organizations, Job Corps Centers and correctional institutions.

These training sites are equipped with the resources, knowledge and skills to provide entry-level job training to any individual regardless of age or background. More than 27,000 individuals, averaging more than 3,000 certified technicians per year, possess the telecommunications skills and knowledge base to work as technicians, sales associates, customer service representatives or a number of other positions.
